Classes started today! (Realized that I said this last week, but that was just orientation...Now I ACTUALLY have classes- well they start tomorrow for me. For some reason I don't have classes on Mondays!! 3 day weekends all the time!)
Figured out 2 reasons why Belgians are special today:
1) They love their dogs. Especially the miniature kinds. I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS see people walking their little dogs. ALWAYS! (my host family is an exception...they like cats. but apparently this is very unusual.) Yesterday I saw a man walking two shih tzus with long hair and fancy collars. I should have brought my shih tzu! she would fit right in (minus the part where her hair is short)
2) Went to the grocery store and found out that they have BREAD SLICERS!! Just get a loaf of bread of your choice, stick it in the machine, close the door, and voila! A sliced loaf. It's brilliant except for the part where everyone does it with their bare hands. I'm questioning how sanitary the process is, but oh well, still COOL!
