Finally arrived in Brussels! Suffering from major jetlag, and barely slept on the plane--but it's okay because one of the movies they showed on the flight was "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".
Heidi (my roommate) and I are going to do some exploring soon. And classes start tomorrow! It's slightly disorienting that everyone speaks French here because Heidi and I don't speak a word of it (the best I can do is "bonjour!" and "merci!") so hopefully we'll still have a successful excursion. Both of my host parents speak French and English, and I'm pretty sure they both speak Spanish too. I feel like I've failed at life by only being competent in one language. C'est la vie. (oh look! I know more French than I thought!) Wish me luck!!
