Bittersweet Symphony

It's CRUNCH TIME!!
Finals for all of my classes are next week. I leave for home in 12 days. This is getting ridiculous.
In about 45 minutes I'm presenting my final French project, which is basically a power point with pictures of everything I've done over the course of the semester. The project is revolutionary for my French speaking abilities because now I can speak French in present tense AND past tense. This is getting serious.
Anyway, through preparing for this presentation, I discovered that 1) I take ENTIRELY too many pictures 2) I am REALLY going to miss chocolate and frites when I go home. Although lack of them will probably promote a much healthier diet 3) Studying abroad was the BEST DECISION EVER. I will miss Belgium. Even though it rains all the time.

Also, you should all know that I received back the grade in my Intercultural communications class today for a creative writing piece. The piece is supposed to show the struggles, differences, and interactions between cultures. Our teacher also suggested we submit blogs, journal entries, or the like to fullfill the assignment. So I submitted this blog. And guess what? I got an 'A'! I hope you all have enjoyed reading this as much as my teacher. Although he did make a lot of corrections anytime I used French words in this. Meaning, if you're looking to further your French vocabulary, my blog is probably not a good place to start. haha.

This weekend I head to GENEVA, SWITZERLAND! and then I plan to study. A lot. On the one hand I can't wait for finals to be over with, but the end of finals also means end of my European Escapades. I'm not sure I like this. It is very bittersweet.
Off to do my French presentation-- wish me luck!
au revoir!
